Dr. Alex M Enriquez, Ph.D is the third president of MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy. His term officially started in July 2026, serving after second President, Dr. Michael C. Morales.

Dr. Enriquez began his career after earning a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation Major in Nautical Studies, from Philippine Merchant Maritime Academy in 1992. He served onboard international crude and product oil tankers with leading shipping companies, including Mobil Oil Shipping International, Golden Ocean (Thome Ship) Ship Management, Shell Oil Shipping International, and American Tankers, Inc. 

In 2001, he transitioned into maritime education, bringing the rigor of his seafaring career into institutional development and academic program leadership. As Institute Director of MIS, he strengthened the cadetship program, led the feasibility study and institutional groundwork for the establishment of MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy (MMMA), and expanded maritime upgrading programs as well as trades and vocational skills programs. 

In 2024, he was appointed President of Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc. (MLRI), while concurrently overseeing the operations of the Magsaysay Institute of Shipping (MIS) as the Institute Director. Dr. Enriquez holds a Master’s in Business Administration from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Philippine Christian University.
