Here at the MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy (MMMA), we fully embrace these values, and nowhere was this more evident than at the official opening of the Mariners’ Athletic Tournament 2025 on April 2, 2025, at the MMMA Grandstand!
The energy was palpable from the very start. The event commenced with a spirited entrance procession, as Teams 1 to 8 proudly marched in, their loudest cheers echoing across the grandstand. The passion and enthusiasm of our aspiring marino were truly infectious, setting the perfect tone for weeks of thrilling competition.
One of the undeniable highlights of the opening ceremony was the exhilarating Cheer and Dance Competition. Teams executed their routines with perfect synchronization and powerful chants, showcasing not just their athletic prowess but also their creativity and teamwork – qualities essential for any successful pinoy marino crew. Adding to the electric atmosphere, the Music Club and Cultural Performers captivated the crowd with an outstanding performance. Their vibrant music and dynamic dance routines infused even more energy into an already buzzing opening ceremony.
This tournament is more than just a series of games; it’s a celebration of the holistic development of our cadets. It’s where the teamwork learned in navigation exercises translates to the basketball court, and the discipline of academic study fuels the determination to win.
